Hello Oortians!

Over the past few weeks the Oort elves have been hard at work on a 64bit build of the Steam client for Windows, which should help some users avoid crashes and improve stability when playing for long periods of time. We’re now at the stage where we need your help to try it out.

We are interested in a couple things:

1. Are you running a 32bit or 64bit version of Windows?
2. Does this 64bit version provide better stability when playing for long periods of time for you?

To try the “64bit Beta” build of the Oort Steam Client please do the following:

1. Open Steam and go to Library > Games
2. Right click on Oort Online and select “Properties”
3. On the BETAS tab select “64bit” and then close.
4. Wait for the game to update or click “Play Game” and choose to download the update. When the game is using the 64bit version the game in the library should say: “Oort Online [64bit]”
5. Play the game as normal. To opt out of the beta repeat the process but in the BETAS tab choose “NONE – Opt out of all beta programs”
